The nurse in nursing gerontological: integrative review

RESUMO

Objetivo: aprofundar o conhecimento científico acerca da atuação enfermeiro na enfermagem gerontológica. Metodologia: revisão integrativa da literatura nacional que se deu através de busca na base de dados eletrônica da SciELO. Como critério de inclusão dos estudos utilizou-se o recorte temporal do ano de 2009 a 2015. Resultados: a enfermagem gerontológica busca quantificar-se possibilitando um entendimento de acordo com a necessidade a complexidade da relação do saber e do fazer em enfermagem, exigindo conhecimentos e ações que deem suporte para o suprimento das necessidades dos indivíduos desta faixa etária. Conclusão: o enfermeiro na gerontologia deve atuar na promoção na autoestima, autocuidado, interação social e o suporte familiar no idoso visando o bem estar do mesmo para que possam desenvolver suas habilidades com qualidade. ABSTRACT

Objective: to deepen the scientific knowledge about nursing performance in gerontological nursing. Methods: Integrative review of the national literature that was conducted through a search in the electronic database of SciELO. As criterion of inclusion of the studies was used the temporal cut of the year from 2009 to 2015. Results: the Gerontological nursing seeks to quantify itself by making it possible to understand according to the need the complexity of the relation between nursing knowledge and doing, Requiring knowledge and actions that support the supply of the needs of individuals of this age group. Conclusion: it is concluded that nurses in gerontology should act in the promotion of self-esteem, self-care, social interaction and family support in the elderly, aiming the well-being of the same so that they can develop their skills with quality.
